I have a 10 month old now. He has got to be the most person I've ever met!!! He loves everybody (as long as they have saltines and/or milk) Zion sees the world for what it is...a place to eat, sleep, poop in until something else happens. I find it interest when I'm around people who just seem to not be able to enjoy life. My son's perspective on life is one to be adapted. He enjoys his family, his toys, taking a nap twice a day and passing gas while eating...simple pleasures. I pray that unhealthy expectations from others about life never stop him from enjoy it. Mainly because he wants me to walk around it every night at 3am. I'd never know this level of love until having a child. To see my wife handle him with such care or to listen to him scream as though I'm ripping his foot off while changing diaper, really does something to me. Yesterday, I laid him on his changing table and something seemed different. There was a twinkle in his eye like never before. I think he actually smile at me....then it happened...he began to crap on the changing pad as though it was his last time on earth and he wanted to leave his mark!!! As I jumped away 3 feet from him, I realized, this is my little King!!!

I love Zion. Everything about him is sooo interesting to me. I'm always wondering what he's thinking. How does he view this world or at least his nursery? I bet he has no hatred in his heart for other races of people (well, unless they're screwing with his bottle) I'm sure he's not worried about gas prices, stimulus checks, wars, if he's fat, skinny, accepted, what's a "nigga" or who gets to use the word nigga.......you know, all of the simply things that we subconsciously teach our children at the kitchen table :) I pray for him that his life will be focused on what is most important which is God, Family, then everybody else. I pray that he changes the world by fighting to always, with no doubt or compromise.....be himself.....to be contiuned

OMG!!! Here I am....BLOGGIN' of all things!!! My wife is the Blog queen and she's goin' freak when she sees this :) Let's recap: Gave my life COMPLETELY to Jesus on August 17th (around 10 am) 2003. I told God that the next woman who comes into my life, I wanted her to be my wife. In November of the same year God brings Cintia my way...We fall madly in love and begin dating. A month later I move two hours away to try and finish school (I was tryin to redeem the last 3 years of school :) A year and a half later, Cintia moves to North Carolina to start a new job after graduating with her master from the University of Mississippi. I stayed in school TRYIN' to finish (while missin' her every second) 8 months later, because the lack of funds, it was impossible for me to finish school...WHAT TO DO?...Already engaged for a year I decided to move to NC, go ahead and get married. To do this I left my family, friends, church, school...you name it, I left it to start a new life in NC. The town we moved to is 98% white. Not a problem at all BUT it is extremely interesting to go to grocery stores, restaurants, car washes, the cleaners, and RARELY see anyone who looks like you..not wrong, just different. So now with 3 years of married under our belts, we got pregnant after returning from France in July of '08. God was sooooo gracious with us. Being away from our family is difficult at times but our church family has done a AWESOME job of being there for us. If you've never had to live away from your folks (whether you like them or not) and had to depend solely on your church family, one can't appreciate the family of God to that magnitude. Anyway, on April 29th 2009 @ 9:18am, God brought Zion Magalhaes Listenbee into our lives :) We feel honored that God would allow us to care for one of His children. Now at home, I'm have one more week before returning to work and I'm gonna enjoy every minute of it. Well that's the intro. Gotta go. There's a "poopy" diper with my name on it ...to be continued
